Dear Parents and Athletes,
Arrangements for Gloucester Head:
Gloucester was very heavily oversubcribed this year, consequently we have been able to gain entry for our J13 and J14 rowers only. I will look for an altertnative for the J15s but at this late stage a suitable replacment may not be possible.
There will be 2 divisions at 11:00 and 14.30 raced over 1750m on the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal, Headington have entered both divisions.
Due to the event being oversubcribed and our own equipment limitations both the J13 and J14 squads have had to be split over the two division.
Please note that all girls must use school transport to get to the event unless she has permission from the Head of Rowing to meet us at the event.
The draw has not yet been posted on the event website.
The girls will be told their crews by their coaches during the week.
The bus will depart Headley Way at 7:10am at the latest. Please meet outside the Headley Way school entrance at 7am. Please note that there are boarders and girls who may be sleeping. YOU MUST NOT MAKE ANY NOISE outside the boarding house.
The 7:10 bus is the only school transport for Gloucester Head so those racing in division 2 either use the morning school bus or be dropped off at Gloucester no later than 12pm.
Transport is available back from Gloucester after division 2. No girls may depart the event until the trailer has been fully loaded or they have been given leeave to depart by their squad coach.
