Rowers make it to Henley final

Wednesday, 10 July 2013 - 11:58am

Headington’s Champ 4x team were selected to take part in Henley Royal Regatta 2013. The team had their first race on 5th July v Kingston Grammar School. Starting early at 8.40 am the girls beat KGS by 2 ¼ lengths meaning they got through to the semi-final.

They faced Eton Excelsior the following day for an evening race and beat them by 2/3 length taking them into the final – a great achievement.

The final race was against Latymer Upper, a strong team who managed to beat our rowers by 4 ¼ lengths.

Well done to the Headington team for their fantastic efforts and to Latymer for their great performance and result.
