Notices: J16s & Development

Dear Parents and Athletes,

The work being done on the St Edwards boathouses will not be completed before the start of term and consequently there will be much less space down at the river until the work has been finished, it is necessary therefore for the senior and J16 rowers to train at the school gym before term begins. Training before the start of term will run as follows:

Dear Parents,

Due to the very heavy rain and possible thunder storms forecast for this afternoon and evening I regret to inform you that we have had to move rowing training for those not trailer loadng (J15, J16 and J184+ HWR boats) to the school gym from 4pm to 6pm.

To confirm:

Novices: Gym 4-6pm

J13s: Gym 4-6pm

J14s Gym 4-6pm

Dear Parents,

Headington are racing on all three days of the regatta this year:

Friday: J16 4+ and J16 4x-

Saturday: J18 4+ and all crews that qualify from the friday

Sunday: J18 8+ and those crews which make it through the rounds on Saturday

With the exam period now upon us we have made the decision (as in previous years) to make all weekday evening sessions from the begining May finish at 6pm so the girls can have a little more time for recovery and revision.

Arrangements for Wallingford Regatta - Sunday 1st May 2016

There are some changes to the calendarised training this coming week (week starting Monday 11th April 2016), please see the training times below:

Mon: Gym 4-6pm

Tue: Godstow 8am to 12pm

Wed: Gym 4-6pm

Thu (Term starts): Gym 4-6pm

Flights are still going ahead. I have checked the flight status and it says it is still going ahead. So we are still going with Plan A.

Dear Parents,

Following talks with British Airways - they have updated me on the following. There are strikes happening in France which will affect the airlines. However, as of 13:30 today, the flight is still schedualled to depart on time. 

However, to avoid the dissapointment that we experienced last year, we have planned the following contingency / Plan B.
